Established in 1988 and based in Sag Harbor, NY, Spatial Arts is a Landscape Architectural firm dedicated to thoughtful, high-end design for private clients. Grounded in the timeless principles of landscape architecture, our work is guided by a more intuitive artistry that balances form, function, and feeling.

With clear program elements in hand, we assess existing site conditions through a comprehensive matrix and respond with pragmatic design schematics for review. We collaborate closely with homeowners, architects, interior designers, and contractors to ensure each project is completed as envisioned—on time and on budget.

We celebrate the architectural eclecticism of the East End, where gardens are too often an afterthought. Yet, as the Japanese saying goes, “A house without a garden is not a home.” Our mission is to enhance the livability of your home through a seamless flow of spaces – house, garden, nature.

At Spatial Arts, we emphasize restraint—favoring minimalism in structure, planting, and furnishing as a measure to reduce clutter. Our goal is to create elegant outdoor spaces that invite participation in nature, not just observation. We raise design solutions to the level of fine art.
