Spatial Arts, established in 1988, is a Landscape Architectural firm located in Sag Harbor, New York specializing in design commissions for private clients. Our approach to design development is rooted in the comprehensive and timeless principles of the profession yet our expertise and artistry are more ethereal.

With the “program elements” known, we apply a matrix to assess the existing conditions and site analyses, then we respond with pragmatic design schematics to be reviewed. Spatial Arts will engage directly with the Homeowners, Architects, Interior Designers, and selected Contractors to ensure that the outcome will be completed, as planned, on schedule and on budget.

We embrace the eclecticism of architecture found throughout the east - end, however, few provide adequate provisions for the garden. The concept of “the garden” is culturally variable. The Japanese contend that, “a house without a garden is not a home.”

Our goal is to enhance the livability of your home by articulating a sequence of transitional spaces “outwardly” – House - Garden – Nature. Spatial Arts will provide that platform allowing you to become a participant in nature, not merely an observer. Stylistically, we abide by a minimalist approach to our proposed construct, plantings and furnishings as a measure to reduce overabundance and clutter. Confluence, elegance and peace of mind, will raise the design solution to the level of fine art. Our focus is design.
